Finalmente, después de varios días de planificación y maquetación, he lanzado oficialmente el nuevo sitio web de Cactus Byte Studio. Quería un rincón propio en Internet que no dependiera de los algoritmos de las redes sociales y donde pudiera reunir mi gran pasión: contar historias inmersivas usando multimedia.
¿Qué vas a encontrar acá?
- Juegos: Un catálogo centralizado de lo que voy lanzando (actualmente en itch.io).
- Bitácora de Proyectos (Devlog): Una sección que estará vigente muy pronto: el proceso detrás de escena. Quiero ser muy transparente con el desarrollo de mis proyectos activos y mostrar cómo avanzan paso a paso (¡con hitos, código y capturas!). Además, seamos honestos: si no voy publicando mis avances, la procrastinación me carcome el tiempo.
- Blog: Reflexiones generales sobre proyectos, la vida, el día a día y cualquier estímulo relevante que inspire la descarga en algunos párrafos.
Para optimizar y simplificar el tiempo destinado al sitio, elegí Astro, una herramienta para sitios estáticos que cumple con creces esta finalidad. El diseño está inspirado en los videojuegos clásicos y las interfaces retro, mi primer contacto con las consolas allá por los años ’80. Por supuesto, la estructura inicial la realicé con Antigravity, ya que necesitaba acelerar los tiempos y comenzar a trabajar en lo que realmente importa: el contenido.

Finally, after several days of planning and layout design, I have officially launched the new Cactus Byte Studio website. I wanted my own corner on the Internet, one that doesn’t depend on social media algorithms, where I could bring together my greatest passion: telling immersive stories through multimedia.
What will you find here?
- Games: A centralized catalog of what I’m releasing (currently on itch.io).
- Project Log (Devlog): A section coming very soon: the behind-the-scenes process. I want to be highly transparent about the development of my active projects and show how they progress step-by-step (with milestones, code, and screenshots!). Also, let’s be honest: if I don’t publish my progress, procrastination just eats up my time.
- Blog: General reflections on projects, life, daily routines, and any relevant spark that inspires me to pour my thoughts into a few paragraphs.
To optimize and simplify the time spent on the site, I chose Astro, a static site generator that perfectly delivers on this purpose. The design is inspired by classic video games and retro interfaces, reflecting my first contact with gaming back in the ’80s. Of course, I built the initial structure using Antigravity, as I needed to speed up the process and start working on what truly matters: the content.
